Christmas Pictures

We went last Tuesday, across the road, to Bryan's grandma's old barn and attempted to make some pictures for a Christmas card. I think they turned out pretty good. I got Shelia to make some more for us since her camera is alot better than mine. I will post them later when I get a copy.
                                                                                                                                    (hint hint Shelia)
I so need a new camera. I am definitely not a photographer, but would love to be able to do pictures of my own and not have to ask someone else to do it for me. Any suggestions as to what kind I should get? I need help from any of you bloggers out there!

Here is a pretty cute picture of the boys!
Noah and Jonah
How cute are they?

I LOVE this picture of them!

Jonah is peeping thru the wood.
So, Noah had to peep! ( I really saw this idea on another website and thought it was a cute idea)
Noah's got this posing thing down pat!

I think Jonah does, too.

Look at that sweet face!
So handsome!
All in all I think they are pretty good! I'm sure professional ones would be better, but I'm satisfied. I have to beautiful boys! (Well, handsome boys)

Flying

Zach took me, Bryan, Noah, and Jonah flying Saturday afternoon. Bryan and Noah went up first, then Jonah and I went. Noah and Bryan have flown with Zach before, but Jonah and I haven't. I have to say I was a little nervous! Not for me, but I was so afraid that we'd get up in the air and Jonah would freak out! But, he did great. We had to wear the headphones, and after he figured out that we could talk to each other through them, I didn't think I'd get him to shut up! Ha! He seemed to love it. And of course Noah did. I wouldn't be surprised a bit if he wanted to follow in Zach's footsteps and take lessons one day. He has always liked planes!

Here is Noah ready to go!

Jonah's getting ready to fly for his first time ever!

I'm ready!

Thank you Zach for taking us flying!

The Climber

The other day I walked into the kitchen to find Jonah doing this:
He looks sooo innocent doesn't he?

I've never had a problem with Noah climbing. Heck, I never had a problem with Noah doing anything. Jonah is making up for everything Noah never did!

New Hats

Cassie's mother-in-law, Evelyn, made the boys these cute, hunter's orange, crochet boggins. After they showered the other night they wore them around until bedtime.

Thank you Miss Evelyn!

Stacking Firewood

Noah and Jonah wanted to help daddy. Little did they know he was REALLY working! Noah said he was sooo tired when he came in. They stacked firewood for a couple of hours.

Jonah figured the only way he was going to be able to reach it was to get on top of it first!

Daddy is telling Noah how to do it right.

I'm sure we will all stay warm this winter! You boys were such a big help!

Christmas Shopping

Last Friday, I went to Birmingham to Cassie's to get a little Christmas shopping done. But, when I got to Childgersburg, I realized I had a visitor with me. You wanna know who? Turtle! Yes, that's right. Jonah's best buddy! I call Bryan to tell him and offered to turn around. He said no, that he would handle it at bedtime. So, I kept on. I got to Cassie's at about 5:30 and we went to Toys 'R Us. An hour and a half later this is what the back of the car looked like. I am happy though. I am pretty much through with the kids and nephews and cousins!
When we left Toys 'R Us, we met Ross and ate at Bonefish. I have never ate there. It was so good. I wouldn't mind going back. The bang bang shrimp was bang bang good! We got two different things and the three of us shared it. At about 8:30 I got a call from Bryan. Noah had started running a fever and Jonah was crying for Turtle. After telling him what to give Noah, I tried to talk to Jonah and calm him down. No such luck. I asked him if I could sleep with Turtle. No. Can Uncle Ross? No. Can Aunt Cassie? No. He then tells me this, "I can't talk right now, I'm gonna let you talk to daddy." Break my heart why don't you. Anyway, I offered again to come home, but Bryan again said no, that he would handle it. He tucked Jonah in, with the other 215 stuffed animals that he owns, and told him that when he got finished brushing his teeth that he would come lay down with him. When he got thru though, he was sound asleep. Whew! Noah got to sleep with daddy, so he was in hog heaven. Poor Bryan. Sick child and crying child! He handled it well though!
This is a picture of me and Cassie outside the restaurant.

We decided not to eat dessert at Bonefish. We wanted yogurt. So, we went to Yogurt Lab. I love these new yogurt places where you can get pretty much any yogurt you can think of (except banana-I haven't found that one yet) and put pretty much any topping you can think of on it! You then take it and put it on a scale and pay by the ounce. That can get out of control! Here is what Ross, Cassie, and I had. Mine is on the bottom. Red velvet cake yogurt, cake batter yogurt, and original tart yogurt (my fav). I put strawberry cake, cheesecake pieces, mini homemade chocolate chip cookies, and sour candies on top of it.

The next morning we met our aunt DeLoyce and ate at Edgar's. Then Cassie and I went to the new outlets in Leeds. They were nice, but too crowded! I didn't get a whole lot of Christmas shopping done there. I did get me some socks, Bryan a couple of shirts, and Noah and Jonah a few things at The Children's Place. Here are a couple of pics of the new place.

After we left the outlets we went and got Ross and ate lunch at Chuy's by the Summit. Soooo good! (mexican) We then went over to Sephora so I could get some blush and eyeliner. Next, we said our goodbyes and I headed home. When I pulled into the carport at home, I saw two sets of little eyes peeking out the door at me. When I turned the car off they came running with excitement hugging and kissing me. Jonah's was short-lived. He started looking for Turtle. I handed him to him, and the kissing and hugging on Turtle began. It lasted for about ten minutes! I think he was happier seeing Turtle than me! I had a good time getting to shop without two little boys with me. Thank you Bryan for keeping one sick little boy and one broken hearted little boy. Job well done!

Blogger Challenge Day 30

Oh my gosh! I almost forgot to do my last day of the blog challenge! It is my hopes, dreams, and plans for the next 365 days. Well, I guess for my hope... I hope to be more patient. I have no patience at all! I have been working on it though! I think I've been doing pretty good! For my dreams... I dream of being a "June Cleaver" mother. I know I sound crazy, but I love old TV shows! I look at Aunt Bea (which I know she is just an aunt) and June Cleaver and wish I could raise my kids in those times! I've have told Bryan before that I wish we could have lived in those times. It just seems like such a simple life. I know it probably wasn't, but it doesn't hurt to dream! And as far as plans... I plan on trying my hand at this sewing thing. Hopefully, I will catch on pretty quick because it is something that I really want to do. Wow! This blog challenge is over! I hope you all enjoyed reading it and learning a little more about me. I have enjoyed it, but kinda glad it's over. I may not post for two weeks! Ha! Just kidding. I'll probably blog tomorrow!

Blogger Challenge Day 29

Today's blogger challenge is "person I love." Well, that's easy peasy! (It's actually three people!)
I love these three boys! They are my life!

Blogger Challenge Day 28

Today's blogger challenge is a place I love. Everybody knows I love to "go." But, it is so nice to be able to slow down and be at home. I can walk around in whatever clothes I want (no matter how bad it looks), I can sit on my couch and relax, watch my own TV and TV shows, and if I want something in particular to snack on, I usually have it. I know that I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful place to call home! Not only the house itself, but the family that makes up my home! I love it!
This is an old picture, but the only one I could get my hands on.

Blogger Challenge Day 27

Today's challenge is "my siblings." Well, I have one sibling, Cassie Irwin. She is the best sister in the world. I love it when she gets to come home or when I can go to her house (which I did this weekend-blog later). We always have the best time laughing and talking! As I mentioned in another post, we are 9 months and 10 days apart. Yes, that's right. I was born in January and she was born in November. How 'bout having kids be close in age? I can't even begin to imagine having two babies in the same year! Whew! We were close growing up in high school, but since we have both moved out of the house and have families of our own we are even closer. Noah and Jonah love her so much and she loves them just as much! I am so glad she is my sister and friend! I love you Cassie!

Beach and USS Alabama

The USS Alabama

These were pretty cool.

Check out those guns!

The outside of the submarine

The water was so pretty. Notice how the sun was reflecting on the water. When we were there in the summer it didn't reflect on it like this. I guess with the season change it now does, and it was gorgeous!

Jonah and Noah

See how few people were there. Bryan said he felt like we were at a retirement home because, really, the only people that were there this time of year were snow birds. But, that was definitely fine with us! No waiting in lines. No sweating to death. It was a great trip!

Blogger Challenge Day 26

Today's blogger challenge is to name a funny (true) story. I'm not too funny a person so I guess I will share a story with you that happened when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I had them pulled in the summer. I think I was 16? Not sure! Anyway, I had never been put to sleep or sedated, so I didn't do well with it- AT ALL! I remember the first night I had some company to visit me. I was talking, as well as I could, and trying to recall the things that had happened during the surgery. I told them how I had to be sedated more than usual because of how bad the roots were wrapped around my jawbone, and these were my words, " the dr. had to seduce  me more than usual!" Oh my! The looks I started getting! I still get laughed at for saying it!

Blogger Challenge Day 25

Today's blogger challenge is a place I love to go. I like to go shopping. Now I like to shop at alot of  different places, but I love to go to Target. I think they have the neatest things. You can usually find most anything that you might be looking for. They have the cutest clothes, too! I could buy everything they have!  I try to control myself, though!
When the kids go with me, they love to get on the red cement balls outside and to get up in the hole like this one in the picture!
(Sorry for the size of the pic, but it just got blurry when blew it up!)

Blogger Challenge Day 24

Today's blogger challenge is a travel story. As you know from a previous post, Bryan and I and Jason and Jan went to the Bahamas in 1998. Well, we had to fly out of Atlanta. Now Bryan is great with directions and we figured we could get to where we needed to be, but that was not the case this time. Yes, we made it to the airport itself, but couldn't get to where we needed to be. This airport is a city all by itself! We rode in circles forever. We kept passing the same police car over and over and over! Finally, we decided to pull over and ask Mr. Policeman where to go. We were all laughing because Bryan was driving. He pulls the car over, gets out, then proceeds to walk over to Mr. Policeman and ask for directions! It looked a little something like this:
Doesn't it look like HE has Mr. Policeman pulled over? Funniest thing!

Blogger Challenge Day 23

Today's blogger challenge is a video! Video? Well, I don't really have a video to put on here of anything to do with me or the family, but I'll post this one for you to enjoy! I saw this on Ellen one day and I laughed until I cried! SO funny!

Blogger Challenge Day 22

Today's blogger challenge is a picture of something that makes you happy. Well, alot of people and things make me happy. I am very blessed, and realize that, and I thank God every day! The picture that I am going to post is just something, right now, that I am loving!
Cold weather! I know, it really isn't that cold yet, but I love when it starts getting cooler. We haven't actually had a fire yet, but I can't wait! The reason I love cold weather? You can start wearing sweats, drinking hot chocolate, sit wrapped up in a blanket on the couch (even if two little boys are like leeches right up on me), and, of course, soups and chili! I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!

The Blog

Please bear with me on the blog. I am trying to figure out how to get all of my blog background in the picture. Some of the pictures are too big for it, but I will figure it out eventually!

Jonah Wants To Go To School

Jonah wanted to go to school with Noah this morning. He got his backpack (a.k.a. Noah's old one), put a book in it, put turtle in it and stood at the door waiting for Jan to pick them up. He didn't get to go, of course, but maybe when next year gets here, he'll be willing to go!

Noah's Field Trip

Noah's class went to DeSoto Caverns on Thursday. Bryan took him because it was just the boys from the class. Bryan had been wanting to go to Desoto, so this was a good time for him to get to experience it. I think he liked it as much as Noah. Looks like they had a blast!
