Sneak Peak

Here is a sneak peak at a picture that Bryan's sister, Shelia, took of the boys while we were at the beach. She will have the rest edited later and I'll post more. She had some really cute ones! Love, love, love Noah's grin in this picture!
An old log washed up on shore while we were there and it made for a great prop! (It's a little blurry because she e-mailed it to me, but she will put it on a cd and I'll have clearer ones for you to see!)

More Old Pics

Maybe I can start back getting my old pictures blogged again! This is Easter 2007. I had the cutest outfits for the two of them to wear, but you know the weather! I turned soooo cold on that Saturday, so, I had to go to Oxford and get long sleeves! Noah already had his sweater vest, but poor little Jonah had nothing! I found this and fell in love with it! Gosh they are so little in this picture!!
I always LOVED this picture of Noah. He didn't want to smile for the camera. He wanted to rip into that basket! He is hilarious! Check out that bed head!

Not Blogging

I am not doing alot of blogging this week during spring break because we are doing alot of this:

Playing in bubbles at The Hangout
Playing in the sand
Digging in the sand
And...parasailing! Me, Noah, and Jonah that is! Bryan videoed it!
Sorry for the quality of the pictures they were taken with the phone. Maybe we'll be back to normal next week with a few more posts!

Special Picture

I know I posted Noah's turkey on Saturday, but I have a special picture I want to show you! Since Noah and Bryan went hunting on Berford's land, we only saw fitting to have a picture with him in it! Berford has been aching for Noah to kill a turkey at his place! Well, he did, and it made it that much more special!
Noah and his great-grandfather Berford.
(sorry it's such a small pic, but we took it with a different camera and it was pixily)

Hunter

Bryan took Noah squirrel hunting on February 19. He came back with this...
Bryan asked if I wanted to make squirrel dumplin's...ummm...no Bryan I do not! He cut the tail off for Noah to keep. Now what do you do with a squirrel tail??

My Latest Project

Since I made Jonah an outfit, I just had to do Noah one! I know he is a little too old for such, but I thought he could use them as pajamas. He wore them last night and loved them! I thought they turned out pretty cute myself!
He picked out his own material! Sorry for the poor picture quality. I tried not to use my flash because it was soooo bright. You get the point though....flames and guitars!!!

"Creative Calling"

Today was "youth day" for turkey season. This was Noah's first time to go turkey hunting and his first time for this:
That's right! He got one! Now this is one proud boy. (and just so you know...his daddy was just as proud!)
It weighed 13lbs and had a 4" beard.
**his daddy said it was compliments of creative calling!**
His daddy makes me laugh!!!

Noah's Last Upward Basketball Game

Noah had his last game on February 26th. Noah had such a good time playing this year. He told me he wished he could play basketball all year! I told him he could, just at our house! Upward is such a good thing and it is fun not only for the kids, but for the parents too! It isn't as competitive as baseball..which I LOVE! Baseball is taken too serious...especially by parents! (hopefully not me tho) We will miss you Upward! See you next year!

This is Noah running in at the start of the game

Noah is #11
Doing a little blocking there!
Waiting on the ball to be thrown in to him
You did a great job this year Noah!

Just a Good Ole' Boy

Noah turned 8 on March 4th. Yeah, I know, I'm late at posting. But, hey, at least I'm posting it, right? Austin came home with Noah after school. They rode four-wheelers and dirt bikes all afternoon long. Right up until time to go to the firehouse for the party. At one point I thought the birthday boy might be late for his own party, but we weren't. Only Paw Paw and Granny beat us there.
This is Austin on the four-wheeler and Noah on the dirt bike.
Noah's cake. Super cute! If you can't tell he had a Dukes of Hazzard party!
Luckily, Austin brought a dvd of Dukes of Hazzard so we popped it in the dvd player. A few of them enjoyed watching it a little...especially Papa!
All decorated...somewhat! Did any of you know that you can't find Dukes of Hazzard b'day decorations. I had to improvise. Orange and black...everything! I just painted the number on the balloons and trimmed it in white. And wrote on the others, like "Hazzard County", "Good Ole' Boy", and "08"(instead of 01). We look like rednecks with that rebel confederate flag. But, it is what it is. Right???
My beautiful homemade cookies! (I'm just kiddin' it looks as though a 3 year old decorated them!) Look at the pitiful one missing some of its "stars"...so sad!
Eatin' up some bar-b-que
Some of the kids. Austin, Noah, John, Jaden, and Jonah
"Cool Jacob"
"Excited Jonah"
"Silly Face Jaden"
Ready to blow out some candles
I don't know if you can tell or not, but the candles were different colors and when you lit them they burned that color flame. (or they were supposed to) Don't buy any! They pretty much "blow". Get it? Blow. Ha ha. I crack myself up!
Make a wish!
This is what 8 year olds get for birthdays! Money!! Although there was one really cool present in one of the cards! Harlem Globetrotter tickets from Uncle Ross and Aunt Cassie!
He racked up!
Still counting money!
And still counting money!
This was his birthday present from us. We gave it to him on Thursday because it was supposed to rain on Friday. He loved it! Me? Not so much. But, he's a boy and I need to accept that there are gonna be things he likes that I don't!
Cool dude!
Does he look excited to you?
Scares Mama to death!!!
He's pretty good at it. I just don't want him too cocky about it!

Happy Birthday Sweet Noah! I love you!

Mama's Sick! (And A Question For You)

Yes, its true, I'm sick! Strep throat to be exact. I thought only kids got that? Oh, well, I have it. I woke up on Saturday with a fever, no sore throat. As the day went on, the worse I felt. My fever never broke, but when the Tylenol wore off, I could tell. I would get so cold and I would start shivering. By that night my throat started hurting. I ran a fever all night and woke up Sunday with an even more sore throat. I decided to go to CARES in Oxford since Bryan would be able to keep the kids, otherwise I would have had to drag Jonah to the dr with me this morning! And they had a birthday party to go to and I didn't want them to miss it just because I was sick! My Daddy Paul ended up coming and picking me up and taking me to CARES. He didn't want his baby (that's me) having to go by herself! How sweet was that?? He is so good to all of us. He took such good care of us when we were little and he still does! He would do anything for his family! Bryan held the fort down at home. He took care of the kids on Saturday while I rested (and Noah even had company spend the night so he had one extra kid). And Sunday he took them to church that morning, the party that afternoon, and back to church last night! Bless his heart. I know it can be a handful...especially when you're not used to it! Thank you Bryan and Daddy Paul for all you did.
Meanwhile this morning, Jonah's being such a good boy playing by himself while I wash up a few clothes that piled up over the weekend. I am feeling a bit better. No fever. Just a horrible burning throat! I am looking at all the blogs I missed over the weekend and I have come across Shabby Apple. Have you heard of this place? Such cute dresses. I am thinking of ordering one for Easter. Just can't decide which one. So, I am asking your opinion. Which one do you like?

Old Man

On January 28th Noah's class celebrated the 100th day of school. Miss Lori's class dressed up like 100 year old people. Let me tell you, there were some cute little ones in that class! I wished I had taken my camera, but you know me...I forgot! I leave you with these....
Even as a 100 year old man he is so cute!
