Show us your life: Show us your dining room

Well, it is that time again! Show us your life over at Kelly's Korner. I didn't link up last week only because I was on vacation and was too lazy to upload the pictures that I had taken before we left. So, I'll post the bedroom when I post the kids bedrooms. Anywho, today is dining rooms. One of the most poorly decorated rooms in the house. Why? Because like most every body I know, I don't use it. We eat at the bar in the kitchen. So, here are some "not so lovely pics" of it. This is looking at it from the kitchen.
This is looking from the foyer.
Another shot from just inside the door from the kitchen.
Lovely pic from the other side of the room ;)
And the other side...
And this is from the stairs in the foyer.

And there you have it. Plain. Blah. I can't wait to see some of the other ones that are linked up!! Thanks for stopping by!

Show us your life: Show us your kitchen

I am linking up with Kelly from Kelly's Korner again this week. Its Show us your life: Show us your kitchens! Well, I'm in our kitchen ALOT!!! Between both boys always needing something, cleaning up messes, cooking, or just sitting at the bar with a cup of coffee and my laptop, I'm there 90% of the time! We "remodeled" our kitchen a couple of years ago, and by remodeled I mean new appliances, new granite countertops, new tile backsplash, new hardware for cabinets, and new sink and faucet. This is the view from in front of the stove. And as you can see, our living room and kitchen is one huge room not divided :)
This is a view from the side of our living room.
A shot from the bay window.
Another shot further back from the living room. We still have our lights to hang over the bar and we are getting recessed lights hung in the kitchen so I can get rid of those big, bulky fluorescent lights!!! UGH!
Since I can't really hang thing on the fridge that the kids make, I hang them on the side of the cabinet. I think I like that.....I know it looks like a hot mess, but I just love all the little things they make!
And sorry for the quality of picture on this one, but, this is the bay window. I have absolutely nothing in it and am looking for ideas. Help!!! I really don't want a table and chairs because we have four barstools and also 6 seats at our table in the dining room. I have no clue what to do with it and hate seeing it so bare! I have thought about getting a little window seat built around it, but just not sure. Opinions please!
Refrigerator view...Now I have another "opinion" to ask of you. I have been thinking of getting the dark walnut trim hung around the top of the cabinets to match the hardware and barstools. What's you opinion??

T-Ball

I have yet to post anything about t-ball and I don't know how that has happened. Everything is just so busy. We run from the time we get up to the time we go to bed. I'm so glad summer is here and we can slow down a little. Here are a few pics from one of the games...
He's ready to run to second.
And he's off!!
After this particular game, we came home and Jonah wanted to play outside. Of course, he thinks to play outside he has to have on his boots. That looked really cool!! Ha!
This is one of my favorite pictures of the whole season! Cousins, Jonah #15 and Jaden #12. Isn't that the sweetest thing.
I'm glad the season is over and Jonah is, too! He got to where he complained when it was time to quit playing at home to go to practice or games.

Show us your life Home Tour: Living Room

I am linking up with Kelly from Kelly's Korner. Its Show us your life: Show us your living room. Mine is pretty plain and simple, and most of the time has at least 523 toys in it! Today just happened to be cleaning day, so I snapped a picture before the boys tore it to shreds again. This little piece of furniture is my favorite in the room. It holds all of our DVD's and electronic chargers, etc. And I just love the picture of the boys above it. It needs updating, but I just love it!
This is the view from the foyer.
Another view from the kitchen (which the whole area is just one big open room, and I LOVE that!)
We got our couches a few years ago because the one we had, which really was more attractive, just wasn't the most comfortable thing! So, our nephew Zach, who started college, got the big one and we put the love seat upstairs. So, it all worked out.
View from the hallway between the boys rooms.
Hmmm...looks like I didn't snap the picture quick enough. I see Noah there laying on the couch and Jonah using his shield for a target for his Nerf gun! And, just recently I went to town one night and left Bryan and the boys, and I came home to a "turkey picture" hanging on my wall! I know it needed something (and I WAS waiting on the perfect picture to go there), but I guess Bryan got to the space first. (insert sigh)
And there you have it! Our living room. Although not picture perfect or dreamy space, it IS perfect for us.
