I am so proud of both of my boys! I won't go into a whole lot of detail about why I am proud of Jonah other than he finally used the potty. We have had a tuff time with getting him to do it and over the weekend it was as if a switch flipped inside his little head and said, "hey, I'm gonna use the potty today!" And I'm not talking about tee tee. I was overly excited. There was alot of kissing and high five going on at our house. Bryan had told him he would give him a dollar, so, he did. Jonah was so excited. He is going to take it to Target and get a toy!
Anyway, my other proud moment came when Noah got out of the shower that night and said, "Mama I need you to help me get something." I asked him what and he told me he needed me to get his piggy bank out. I asked him why. He said because he wanted to give Jonah something for using the potty. I had to walk out of the room for a minute to compose myself. It was all I could do not to cry in front of him. I went back in and got his piggy bank and watched him count out money. He counted out $6 and said, "I'm gonna give him this." I told him I was so proud of him and that he was such a good big brother. He went to where Jonah was and said, "Jonah, I've got you a surprise for using the potty!" Jonah said, "what is it?" Noah told him that when he got out of the shower he would give it to him. So, when Jonah got out, Noah handed him the $6 and Jonah said, "wow, I got alot of money!" Bryan gave Noah a high five and told him that was nice of him. When Noah started walking out of the room Jonah said, "O, I forgot your hug!" They hugged and I cried more. Now don't get me wrong, they have hugged before and been sweet, but they honestly were the sweetest things I believe I've ever seen this particular night! To watch Noah give Jonah his own money melted my heart. I have never been prouder! There are days that I think I'm gonna pull my hair out, but to see them like this with each other just makes me so proud! My heart was so full! I cried off and on the rest of the night thinking about it. Noah and Jonah, I am so proud of both of you and so glad I'm your Mama! |
So happy that Jonah is finally using the potty! Noah was very generous to give away his own money, too. They are very sweet boys and you are a lucky mama!
