Blogger Challenge Day 13

Day 13 of the challenge is to name something you want to buy. I having been juggling the idea of learning how to sew. My mother-in-law is great at it! She could make anything, without a pattern, in five minutes, and if had to, she could probably do it blindfolded!!! I'm telling you, she's great at it. Anyway, she has said she will help me and I'm sure I could get the hang of it. I want to just do some basic things. Hem pants if needed, make Jonah (and Noah if he wanted some) some pants and cute shirts with embroidery on them, and maybe do a few girl clothes to sell if I can get good at this. Maybe the cute pillow case dresses! Anyway, I have to start somewhere, so, the purchase of a machine is necessary!

Blogger Challenge Day 12

Day 12 of the challenge is to name something I recently bought. So, a few weeks ago at Target they had these cute t-shirts on sell for $12. I quickly picked one up. So cute! It is the prettiest shade of pink. I have worn it alone and up under this cute cardigan that I picked up.

I was in the clothes section in the first place because I was looking for a cardigan that I could put with alot of different things. I ended up getting a heather brown color. I love it! I have already worn it about 10 times. I have worn it with jeans, capri's, and some dress pants that I have. I LOVE TARGET!

Cheaha

After Chapel on Friday we went to Cheaha. It has been a long time Since I have been. Noah was not so excited about going, but after he saw it and walked through the woods and climed the tower, he decided he loved it.

Wow! That is pretty high! I figured we would have to hold their hands the whole time to keep them from the edge, but they were great!

The leaves were turning colors. They were so pretty.
I kept hearing a woodpecker and finally found him so that I could get a picture.

I thought this was the prettiest view!

Blogger Challenge Day 11

Oh good grief! Today's challenge is to post a picture taken of me recently. Ugh! I do not like posting pictures of myself. So, here you are. Picture of me!

Noah's Chapel

Noah's second grade Chapel was on Friday, October 22, 2010. He was one of the soldiers who marched Jesus to Golgotha. I didn't get to take alot of pictures of it since parents have to sit way in the back and I can't get good pictures back there. In class, Miss Lori gave each child a different color of paper and encouraged each of them to write 10 things that they were thankful for that was that color. Well, what do you know, Noah got purple. Ha! So, a few things I heard he was thankful for that was purple was his soccer jersey, his eraser, his house, jelly, grapes,wait...back up... did he say house? I leaned over and asked my Daddy Paul, "did he say a purple house?" Oh my gosh! Everyone at FACS thinks we live in a purple house now!!! Daddy Paul assured me that he didn't say that. Well, I asked Noah...he did! What??? He said he ran out of purple things to name and she added house. Okay???? Seriously? Couldn't she think of something else. Anyway, it was an adorable program. At the end they sang a song about colors and then threw skittles out into the audience.

Blogger Challenge Day 10

You guessed it! Today of the challenge is a photo of me over 10 years ago! So, the first picture is of me and Cassie (sister). We were probably two or three years old. We are 9 months and 10 days apart. Yes! Close I know! We get remarks from people everytime they hear how close in age we are. I was about one year old in the second picture and of course the last one was taken the same time as the first picture. So, there you go! All my cuteness!

Blogger Challenge Day 9

Today of the challenge is name a pet peeve. Well, I don't know that I have a pet peeve. Maybe, my house not being clean? I like things cleaned and organized.Having kids has changed that somewhat though! It is still pretty clean, but sometimes it's not as clean as I would love for it to be. Bryan has always said that I clean too much, but he probably hasn't thought that much lately. I'm glad I like to clean, otherwise who would clean it?

Blogger Challenge Day 8

Day 8 of the challenge is to name something you crave. Well, I crave alot of things because I LOVE FOOD! Now, I know something you crave doesn't necessarily have to be food, but for me, well, it is! I wish I could tell you that I crave something not involving food because that might mean I would be a couple of sizes smaller than I am right now and I would love that! But I can't lie. I crave Lamar's Donuts. They only have a few locations and thank God the closest one to me is 40 miles away! And I try to stay away from that side of town if at all possible, but sometimes the Swagger Wagon just magically steers itself there. My favorite is a chocolate covered cream fluff filled! Ummmm...my mouth is watering thinking about it. So, I will leave you with a picture.

Proud

I am so proud of both of my boys! I won't go into a whole lot of detail about why I am proud of Jonah other than he finally used the potty. We have had a tuff time with getting him to do it and over the weekend it was as if a switch flipped inside his little head and said, "hey, I'm gonna use the potty today!" And I'm not talking about tee tee. I was overly excited. There was alot of kissing and high five going on at our house. Bryan had told him he would give him a dollar, so, he did.  Jonah was so excited. He is going to take it to Target and get a toy!
Anyway, my other proud moment came when Noah got out of the shower that night and said, "Mama I need you to help me get something." I asked him what and he told me he needed me to get his piggy bank out. I asked him why. He said because he wanted to give Jonah something for using the potty. I had to walk out of the room for a minute to compose myself. It was all I could do not to cry in front of him. I went back in and got his piggy bank and watched him count out money. He counted out $6 and said, "I'm gonna give him this." I told him I was so proud of him and that he was such a good big brother. He went to where Jonah was and said, "Jonah, I've got you a surprise for using the potty!" Jonah said, "what is it?" Noah told him that when he got out of the shower he would give it to him. So, when Jonah got out, Noah handed him the $6 and Jonah said, "wow, I got alot of money!" Bryan gave Noah a high five and told him that was nice of him. When Noah started walking out of the room Jonah said, "O, I forgot your hug!" They hugged and I cried more. Now don't get me wrong, they have hugged before and been sweet, but they honestly were the sweetest things I believe I've ever seen this particular night! To watch Noah give Jonah his own money melted my heart. I have never been prouder! There are days that I think I'm gonna pull my hair out, but to see them like this with each other just makes me so proud! My heart was so full! I cried off and on the rest of the night thinking about it. Noah and Jonah, I am so proud of both of you and so glad I'm your Mama!

Blogger Challenge Day 7

Today is favorite photo. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite, but this would be one of my picks. I really love any picture of my boys. Bryan's sister Shelia made these pictures for us and I had this one blown up to a 11x14. I love it, and I love them!

Blogger Challenge Day 6

Oh my!!! Today I have to name a fun fact about myself. Well, this is really sad. I am having a hard time thinking of a fun fact about myself. So, this will probably be silly, but I like amusement parks and water parks. I haven't really got to go and enjoy an amusement park lately since I have had kids, but I love riding roller coasters and anything that makes my stomach turn a flip! Now don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed taking Noah and Jonah to Dollywood and a few other places that had rides, but I have to ride the "kiddie" rides. I did get to enjoy some of the bigger water rides at Alabama Adventure this summer and Noah rode them with me. Maybe he will be like me and love them, too. I know Jonah will because he was begging to get on them, he was just too short. I know riding "kiddie" rides comes with being a parent and that is fine with me...I wouldn't have it any other way!

30-Day Blog Challenge Day 5

Today's challenge is favorite quote. I'll have to say, hands down, my favorite is Never Say Never. It is so true especially after you have kids. So listen up all of you who don't have them yet. Just saying! LOL

Soccer Pictures

We had pictures made before the game on Tuesday night. I took a few of my own just to have for the blog. They did so good at the game! Probably the best they've done yet! We still didn't win, but you can tell the kids have come a long way.

30-Day Blog Challenge Day 4

Day 4 of the  30-Day Blog Challenge is favorite books. Well, since I am NOT a reader (but, I can read) I'll have to say the Bible is my favorite book. It is the only one I ever get to really read. Not as much as I'd like or need to though. Sometimes I read to the boys, but they usually don't sit still long enough to listen. Jonah has been on a kick lately of liking Dr. Seuss's Horton Hears A Who. Noah listens to that one when it is read. Mema read it to them Saturday night when she spent the night.

Friends!!!

WHAT??? How could I ever forget the TV show Friends??? I am so sorry Monica and Rachel!! I guess it's been soooo long, but my favorite sister Cassie had it as her favorite TV show on her blog and reminded me of it. Man....you see....too much kid TV that I forgot my own favorite!!!

30-Day Blog Challenge Day 3

Today is day 3 of the challenge and it is favorite TV shows. My favorite TV show used to be According To Jim. It doesn't come on anymore. I was a little upset when I found out it was canceled. I am currently liking Dancing With The stars (and , yes, I would totally go on that show if they ever had Dancing With Everyday People). I also like Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. Speaking of...I think the season premier is supposed to start soon. Hmmm....I'll have to check on that.

30-Day Blog Challenge Day 2

Yes, I realize I have done Day 1 and Day 2 in the same day, but I'm a little behind getting on the 30-Day Blog Challenge wagon! My favorite movie of ALL TIME is Dirty Dancing! I love it, love it, love it! I could watch it over and over. I also love Pretty Woman. Anytime either of these movies is on TV and Bryan sees it, I think he tries to skip over it real quick before I can see it! But, I usually see it. AND, I usually don't get to watch it since there are two sets of little eyes that probably shouldn't watch it!

30-Day Blog Challenge

So, my sister Cassie and her friend Leanne are doing a 30-day blog challenge. I have decided to join in and it really will be a challenge for me. But here goes. Today is your favorite song. So, for those of you who know me know that I like country music. However, I get to listen to alot of my kids CD's and appropriate things that they can listen to. All of you know how hard is is to find a song these days that doesn't have something inappropriate in it! So, I love to listen to the Alvin And The Chipmunk soundtrack.  My favorite is Get Munked because Noah and Jonah can sing every word to it and I love hearing them sing along with it. It is quiet funny because they try to sound like the Chipmunks! As for a song I love to listen to right now when I am by myself (which only happens about...hmmmm...once in a blue moon!) is Miranda Lambert's The House That Built Me. Great song!

Turtle's Bath

Turtle is dirty! So, I talked Jonah into letting me washing him. I usually have to sneak him into the wash, but that day Jonah agreed to it. He had got mustard on him at supper the night before. He kept showing me where the mustard was. I asked him if we could wash him and he gladly agreed. He got to put Turtle into a laundry bag and put him in the washing machine. Every time Turtle would come up from under the water he would yell so loud. I thought at one point he was going to cry! When we got him out he inspected Turtle and said, "see, the mustard is gone and his head didn't come off!" Now why he would think Turtle's head would come off is beyond me, but, I'm sure glad it didn't. I am quite sure the next bath that Turtle gets, I will have to sneak him in there again because I don't think Jonah will go for it again!

This is Jonah watching Turtle . I think he was about to cry!
He made me get him out of the washing machine as soon as it stopped. Yes, Turtle was wet, but he was clean and smelled better....that is all that matters. He had to air dry. Jonah was definitely not gonna let me put him inside of another machine! So, therefore, he slept with wet Turtle for nap that day!

Jonah is showing off how clean Turtle is!

I catch him alot kissing Turtle. It is hilarious. He obviously posed for this picture, but one day last week he was pushing a truck with one hand and holding Turtle with the other. He kissed Turtle the whole time he was pushing the truck!

Look how much he loves Turtle!

Noah's Soccer Game

Noah's soccer season started on September 27, 2010. We have most of our games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We haven't won a game yet, but I think our little team does well. The kids on most of the teams we have played are REALLY BIG! It is really a hoot watching these kids. They get knocked down and kicked all the time and just jump right up and keep running as if nothing happened! Noah says he likes it alot. We have to make sure everything is done before we leave to go to games, like homework and clothes laid out for the next day because we usually get home after 9:00. All in all it has been ok. I am glad he likes it as well as he does.

This was a quick picture before one of the games.
Noah was one of the captains for this game.

Noah is #4

Just a picture of some of the happenings during the game.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. My camera and the lights on the field don't get along to well!

Noah and Jonah's Spend The Night Company

Noah and Jonah wanted Jacob and Jaden to spend the night one night. So, Jan and I got that arranged and Friday after school I picked Noah and Jacob up from school and he came to our house. We then got on the four-wheeler and rhino and went to Jason and Jan's house and picked up Jaden. Jonah was ecstatic! We picked Jaden up and came back to our house.
We played basketball, soccer, the Wii, rode gators and four-wheelers, and rode bicycles and scooters. Bryan picked up pizza for super and we came in to eat. After that, we were back outside for more play. When it was finally dark we came in and Jonah and Jaden took baths and then Noah and Jacob took showers. It was now time for a snack, so I made them cookies and cream milkshakes. We attempted to watch a movie, but that didn't happen. Too much excitement. We played a little more then I attempted to get all of these wild boys to bed. We went from aerobed to tent to couches to floors and Jaden had had enough! He never said a word. Just looked at me with his little eyes and I could see it! His Mama was on his mind. I asked him if he was ok and he just shook his head and said yes. Then he starts playing with a tractor that was left in the floor. I told him we needed to go to bed and then he said it..."I want my Mama." So, Bryan called Jan and I took him home. I think he was glad to see her! I got back home and I slept with Jonah in his bed and Noah and Jacob got in Noah's bed. Notice I didn't say they went to sleep. They giggled and talked 'til about 11:30. Then they gave it up. I didn't hear little voices again until 4:30 AM . I went to see what they were up to and they had just woke up and needed some water to drink. They went back to sleep and slept until about 6:30. Jaden came back over to play and they stayed until about lunch. I think they all had a good time, but those were some tired little boys! Jacob and Jaden come back and spend the night soon!

This is them jumping on the aerobed.
This is their sweet faces when I got them all stopped long enough to smile for the camera!

Jonah and Jaden was, at one point, going to sleep on the aerobed.

Jacob and Noah was, at one point, going to sleep in the tent.

Jacob and Noah got in a little Wii time!

Jaden and Jonah playing with the skate-board ramps.

Noah and Jacob were tired. They needed a break, so they got a snack and watched a little TV.

I'm not really sure how these two little ones come up with this, but this is what I caught them doing! Skate-board skiing!

Here is Jaden pulling Jonah!

Noah and Jacob rode the scooters.

They rode 'til they were pooped!

Jonah and Jaden rode the gator.

Look at those sweet faces! Don't they look like they're having a good time?
