Sparklers

Mema got the boys some sparklers and we had to test them on the coldest night of the year!

We may have to save the rest of them for a warmer night!

Noah's "Spot"

Ok. So I don't know if you can see it or not, but there is a spot between Noah's eyes. See it?
Now I guess you're wondering what this might be? Well, he took a couple of erasers to school the other day because he said his were almost used up. When he got in the car I see this spot on his face (there is also one under his chin, you just can't see it in this pic). I asked him what it was and he said he didn't know. When we got home he went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and said, "I guess it's where I was making the eraser stick to my head and chin!" So in other words he was making it suction to his head, and he had done it for so long that it ended up making a hickey on it! SO FUNNY! Most of you may know the story of the time my sister did this with a medicine cup when she was little. She was watching TV and was sucking the cup to her lips and when she finished watching her show, she went into the bathroom and saw the results!!! Her lips were HUGE and PURPLE. They were so bad she couldn't go to school the next day! She is gonna kill me for posting this, but my kids are so much like her...in CRAZY ways!! (i love you cassie)

Babysitting

We got to spend a little time with the sweetest little girl today! Avery Claire! I didn't know how Jonah would react to her at first, but boy, he loved her! If he wasn't following her around, she was following him! She has the best personality! She got out of the car waving at us. Truth be know, it was the dog she liked first, but I like to say it was me :) ! I was truly amazed at how she just adjusted so well to us! She was perfect!

She is looking out the door at the cat in this picture!
Sweet face!
I love this picture of her with her mouth wide open! She was looking at something Jonah was doing.
Look at that sweet face!
She was trying to eat Jonah's cell phone.
She decided my cabinet needed cleaning out. Look at her handing me my colander.
She did some serious cleaning out!
Jonah decided he'd get in on the action!
If you can see her, Avery Claire is under Jonah!
Man...I have alot of bowls! I bet she really thought it needed cleaning!
Jonah found a funnel to play with!
I guess with all the pictures I was taking, Jonah decided to take some himself!
She decided to check out all the magazines.
When I moved the magazine basket, she and Jonah decided they needed to crawl through the coffee table.
Couldn't you just squeeze those cheeks!
Look at 'em!
My mother came for a little bit to see Avery Claire, but after she'd been here a while the boys decided they wanted to go outside. So, Mema went out with them. Avery Claire watched out the window. I put Jonah's boggin on her and covered her up with a blanket and we sat on the porch for a few minutes, but the wind was blowing and it was a little cool for her I thought. We came back in because I didn't want to be responsible for getting this sweet girl sick!
I took a picture of her from outside. Look how funny!
I had a blast with her today! Such a difference in boys and girls! Jonah was such a wonderful helper today. I think he really liked her. And you're probably wondering why Noah isn't in any of these pictures. Well, he laughed at her a good bit, but he is too "big" to play with babies! Haha! Thank you Brooke for sharing her with me today. I'm glad you trust me that much with such an important "package". I hope I can do it for you again soon!

Visiting Maw Maw

We usually go to the nursing home on Sunday's after church to visit Bryan's Maw Maw. I had my camera in the car from Saturday's events, so I decided to take it in a get a couple of pictures of her and the boys. It wasn't a good picture day, but I still wanted to post them. I'll try and get some better ones one day.
Noah, Maw Maw, and Jonah

Maw Maw and Jonah. Look, she's starting to smile. Jonah has always made her laugh!

Ice

So, all the snow we were to get....we didn't get it! We got ice, but we treated it like snow. Remember in the last post I told you that we did a little redneck sledding? Well, I'll explain. We packed up the kids on the rhino and rode over to PawPaw and Granny's to ride the sled (really it was a knee board). We would give 'em a big push, and off they would go. Of course, my battery in my camera died while we were over there, so I don't have many pictures, but the second time Jonah rode it, he laid down on his belly on it and went down the hill. It was hilarious! And then, Noah did it.They had a ball! I even rode it a few times, but no, I don't have pictures (thank God).
Noah and Jonah ready to ride.

Noah fixing to go "sledding". See, to look at the ground. You would think there is nothing, but there is ice and it is slick!

Look at him go!

Jonah's turn!

There he goes!

Bryan would ride down the hill and pick them up so they wouldn't have to walk back up the hill.

We played about 45 minutes or so, then we headed home for some hot chocolate.

Fresh Meat!

Since it was icy today, Noah was out of school and Bryan was out of work. We did a little sledding (red-neck style..pics to come), and while Jonah and I napped, Bryan and Noah went hunting. This is what they came back with! Noah had killed a deer. A doe to be exact. This is not the first deer that he had killed. He killed one last year, too. Deer meat in the freezer!
Look how proud he is!

Good job Noah! We are proud of you!

Monster Jam

After the basketball game on Saturday we headed to Birmingham. We told the boys that we were just going shopping. When we first got there, Bryan dropped me off at the outlets in Leeds and he and the boys went on to Bass Pro Shop. (thank God for the outlets!) When they got through there they came to the outlets and we ate at the food court and then headed to our destination. They boys kept asking where we were going and we would just tell them "somewhere". When we drove up to the civic center Noah said, "isn't this where Monster Jam is?" Bryan just grinned. Noah looked over at Jonah and said, "we're going to Monster Jam, Jonah!" They started screaming! We have taken Noah before, but Jonah was a baby and he stayed with Papa and Mema. So, this time he got to go. They loved every minute!
Some of the trucks getting lined up.

Check out that jump!

One of Noah and Jonah's favorites. El Toro Loco

Another one of their favorites...Grave Digger!

Bet you couldn't guess that Jonah LOVED Ninja Turtle!

Jonah got a Ninja Turtle hat. Noah already had and El Toro Loco hat. So, I took it with us. I thought that would save some money because if I hadn't brought it, we would have had to buy two hats! (I'm so smart like that!)

Jonah enjoying a snow cone!

Now this was probably my favorite part of the show. While they were setting up for some more monster truck stunts, some dirt bikes performed for us! Amazing! They would ride up that ramp and go soaring through the air!

Check this nut out!

And this one!

And this one! I mean, look how high they are! Crazy, right?

It got even more interesting. They started turning flips in the air! WHAT???? I think we should find a dirt bike show to go to! I was a-mazed!

Noah showing his cute face off! (look at the horns on that hat...hilarious!)
