Noah's First Basketball Game

The basketball game on Saturday was fun as usual! It is so funny to me to watch these little boys run around and try to shoot baskets! They have the best time though. This is, by far, my favorite sport that Noah participates in. They don't take score in this age bracket (1st and 2nd graders), so it is not at all competitive. They get to go to practice once a week, learn a Bible verse for the week, and then get different color stars to iron on their shirts for learning their verse and participation in the game. Noah loves playing Upward!

Going in for half-time.

I promise to try and get better pictures to post next week (or the next). I am soooo hoping to get a new camera. Mine is horrible at taking sports pictures. And, well, let's face it....I have boys...they will be playing sports...I need a good camera! Period!

Christmas With Berford

So, the day after Christmas all of the Taunton children and grandchildren were to come home and have Christmas with Berford (our grandfather-another story later on why we call him by his first name). I mean all his children! Spouses and all! This is the first time this was gonna happen since my grandmother passed away! We were gonna have appetizers and open gifts. We all went in together and got him a new TV and stand. Well, the snow put our plans to a halt. The ones in Birmingham and the ones in Atlanta couldn't get here since we had the "white Christmas." So, plans changed. Just part of us were there and I was told to go ahead with the plans and give him the gift with only part of us there. Berford had gone to the pasture to check on the cows, so we snuck in and started putting it together. When we saw him coming we got Aunt Dee on the speaker phone and surprised him. Guess you couldn't guess what his words were. Give up? He said, really big, "ALRIGHT"! He says this about everything....really! He really liked it though! We showed him how to work it (you know 83 yr olds and electronics!) and he was on his way to a clearer picture. We missed the other part of the family, but can't wait to see you this Sunday, the 9th! But, now guess what? A chance of snow and freezing rain again! Really??? What gives???

Awww Frisky! You look be-u-tiful!! (I know that's not spelled right. I intended it that way. Sound it out as it looks. Sounds good doesn't it!)

The finished product (and Berford. Ha!)

Berford with his new TV. See what channel he put it on first! Yep! The Outdoor Channel! Who'd have guessed!

Berford with some of his girls! Mother, Berford, me, and Aunt Cassie.

Merry Christmas Berford! We love you!

Opening A Gift

Cassie and I got to go spend some time with the Davis family, who was home for the holidays. Cassie, Brooke, and I went to Ashland to a store, and when we got there it was closed. Just my luck! Oh well! Maybe next time. So, we headed back to Brooke's moms to see Avery Claire. She was asleep, but her mommy said it was time for her to wake up, so she got her out of bed. Poor baby! I'm sorry we interrupted your nap. She was in such a good mood. She got to open her gift from Noah and Jonah and she sent back a gift for them to open. Thank you guys! The boys love it!
What could it be???

Disney Scene It! What a fun game!

Christmas With The Bryant's

Mema got a cheesecake with Santa's picture on it for Noah and Jonah

The Christmas tree with all the gifts
Noah getting to see the cheesecake

Uncle Ross the photographer

Daddy the camera man

Noah handed out all the gifts

Jonah got a Crayola magic light brush painting kit

We made the kids stand in front of the tree together so we could "get a picture of both of them". Little did they know the bicycles were being brought in! Look at those faces! So excited! Bicycles to stay at Mema and Papa's house so they can ride!

They LOVE them!

Smile for the camera Aunt Cassie!

Just a picture of them riding their Rip Riders at home the next day

These things are great! And, I finally rode one the other day. Loved it! Bryan videoed it, too!

Christmas Day With The Amason's

We went to Carlton and Lynn's this year for the Amason's Christmas since Paw Paw and Granny are remodeling. We had lunch, opened gifts, had a little family photo shoot, and then a game of twister (with the ones who can twist!). These kids are growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday that we were buying toys for Zach, Caleb, and Chrissy. Now they are too big for that business and they get money. And now it is mine and Jan's kids who are opening presents! Before we know it they will be the ones getting money because they will be too "big".
Caleb, Zach, Chrissy, Jacob, Noah, Jaden, and Jonah

Cool Caleb(aka "the garbage collector" hence the plastic garbage bag)

Noah got a Paper Jamz

Not sure what Chrissy is getting here, but it must be pretty good!

Flyin' Z and Caleb looking on at what everybody is getting. So sad that they are too big and all they get now is money and gift cards! Of course, I guess they like it :)

Noah playing his Paper Jamz. If you have not seen one of these I suggest you check it out! It is the coolest thing!

We all got Granny a cute little cabinet thing and a lamp and mirror to go in their house that they a remodeling!

Nice lamp shade, huh?

Paw Paw got a planer (whatever that is)

Getting a little taste of the snow!

Jonah and Jaden got cute stuffed dog piggy banks. When you put money in them they wag their tails and bark and pant! So cute!

And now...a game of Twister!

Jaden thinks it's funny because Jacob's hiney is in his face!
